How2: create a menu VBA script that will process any selected cells (Excel-2016) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have a few scripts I want to create to make my life easier at the office.  But I need to know how to have my scripts inside the Excel's menu (either a new one or existing one) that will process what ever cells I have selected.

Can somone point me to where both process are explained ?

    re: menu in Excel 2016

Nobody has spoken, so I will give it a brief try.
Menus and Toolbars (MT) were replaced (by the Ribbon) starting with xl2007
MT could still be used however in xl versions 2007 and xl2010.
With xl2013 and xl2016, it has become almost impossible to utilize MT.

The Ribbon requires the XML programming language to customize it.
MT used VBA.  They are completely different.
You can manually change the quick access bar and the Ribbon, but those changes apply only to individual workbooks.

Also see this DuckDuckGo search result for "ribbon office programming"...

My opinion of these changes is not printable.  Good luck.
