Windows Mobile 5 Bluetooth COM port ennumeration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.  We have an existing code installed on a legacy Windows Mobile 5 device in an underground mine in central Africa.  Our customer is attempting to pair the WM5 device with our Bluetooth-enabled instrument.  Their issue is that the WM5 Bluetooth settings only allows our device as COM5 for incoming and COM8 for outgoing, but our code, which reads the available COM ports, lists only COM 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7.  Is there an easy way for the customer to reset the Bluetooth COM port settings in WM5?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

You can create com ports in wm device.

Just click on the dropdown of com port in WM device and write your com port in drop down and save.

    Thanks
