Visual Studio 2015 Update 1, clang error

    Question

  • Hi guys, when trying to use clang with Visual Codegen in my project, I'm getting following error:

    clang.exe : error : cannot specify -o when generating multiple output files

    ^^^this is just newly created project with autogenerated main.

    Really don't know what to do about it.

    Any help appreciated.

    Could you please provide the detailed steps that how you use clang with Visual Codegen in your project? Since clang is not a Microsoft product, I need to know how to use it in Visual Studio.

    Please use other Platform Toolset to make sure whether this problem is only occurs with clang. If it just occurs with clang, please check your clang version. Please check the release information about clang, and make sure you have download the newest version.

    If it occurs with all Platform Toolset, this problem is related to Visual Studio. Please try with following steps to troubleshoot this problem.

    1. Run Visual Studio as administrator.
    2. Reset all settings through menu Tools -> Import and Export settings -> Reset all settings.
    3. Repair your Visual Studio.
