Why is the call back in the dispatcher.RunAsync method called an agileCallback, is there a difference between and agileCallback and a regular callback RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just curious as to why the DispatchedHandler is called agileCallback in the dispatcher.RunAsync() method,  i.e. what is agile infer about the callback we are expected to supply here?

  • Agile refers to how the call handles threading: an agile class can be called from any thread.

This is a lower level concept, so the best discussions on it I've seen are in the C++/Cx documentation on          Threading and Marshaling (C++/CX).
