Hello I've recently installed microsoft visual web developer 2010 express after using it at uni all year. I was implementing a web application at uni and have no started to carry on with it on my laptop from home. However when I try to open the database the connect stops and an error message appears saying 'login failed for user ollie/ollie' i tried deleting the database and adding an new SQL item but it's not allowing me to even add this bringing up the same message. Any help?

    much appriciated

    Hi,

when I try to open the database the connect stops and an error message appears saying 'login failed for user ollie/ollie'

When a connection attempt is rejected because of an authentication failure that involves a bad password or user name, a message similar to the following is returned to the client: "Login failed for user '<user_name>'.

Please refer our msdn document, it will give a good guide to troubleshoot

Troubleshooting: Login Failed for User 'x' in SQL server 2008 R2,

    hope it helps you,

    With regards
