ScheduledTaskAgent and Timers, Alarm-Clocks RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I war researching about ScheduledTaskAgents and was wondering, how for example Timer-Apps and Alarm-Clocks work. My understanding of ScheduledTaskAgents is, that there is no possibility of executing any Background-Code more often than about 30 Minutes. But a Timer-App I dowloaded one year ago also works when not running (I quit the App with the Back-Button). How is that possile? I think, the Timer-App needs a process checking if time is expired and this process needs to run more than every 30 Minutes.

    Any idea?

    Thank you!

    Sebastian

Answers

  • Timer apps don't really work.

Alarm apps have a special kind of scheduled agent.
