Modifying the PDP RRS feed

  • Hello everyone, 

    We have an Excel spreadsheet where we ask a number of questions with "Yes, No, NA" from a drop down. We also have a counter which keeps track of the choices. 

    We are looking to do that on a PDP. I did some research on web parts and the closest I can come is an Excel Web App but that requires me to point to a specific document so I would need to create a copy of the Excel file for each project and, more importantly, I can't get the dropdowns working to make a selection for the three choices mentioned above. 

    I am hesitant to create a number of custom fields on the server and even if I did, I could not find a way to track the choices made. 

    Has anyone done anything similar?

  • Hi Jack,

    There is no reason why it could not work!

    1. First create a lookup table with the appropriate choice,
    2. Then create the project custom fields for the questions based on the lookup table,
    3. Finally integrate the custom field in a PDP and add it to an EPT (enterprise project type).
