How to center an image in a bound object frame in a continuous form in Access 2003? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Any help with this would be much appreciated. I managed to get each record in a continuous form in Access 2003 to display a different bitmap image, but the bitmap images that are not the shape of the bound object frame, display in the upper left corner, rather than in the center. I am wanting them to display in the center of the bound object frame.

I've done many searches and looked at many pages over several days and still not found a solution, so I am posting this question.

    Can anyone help with this?

  • Have you tried different settings for the control's SizeMode property (on the Format tab of the control's property sheet)?  It can be set to "Clip", "Stretch", and "Zoom".  Maybe one of them will give the effect you want.

  • Dirk,

Yes, I'd tried that, although I've just seen your reply. I'd actually done a lot of searching and testing before starting this thread.

I'm writing now to say that the problem has been solved, in effect, in that I've been able to switch to using Access 2010, rather than 2003.

    Many thanks for your reply.

  • You're welcome.  Glad you found a solution, even if you had to go to a new version of Access to do it!

  • Hi Corsica,

I was just curious, what field data type did you use for your bitmap image? Access 2010 has the new Attachment field. Is that what you used? Thanks.
