  • Hi,

I cannot guess exact reason why it happened. Please refer to errorlog to find out why your mirroring broke.

You can run below command on Mirror to break mirroring and then you would have to reconfigure it.

    --Run this on mirror database
    use master
    go
alter database db_name set partner off
    go
    restore database db_name with recovery
    go

  • Hi AhmedNawwar,

As Shanky’s post, please check the SQL Server error log to get the disconnection reason. Also check all things about mirroring from the following tables:

    SELECT * FROM sys .dm_db_mirroring_auto_page_repair
    SELECT * FROM sys .dm_db_mirroring_past_actions
    SELECT * FROM sys .dm_db_mirroring_connections
    SELECT * FROM sys .database_mirroring
    SELECT * FROM sys .database_mirroring_endpoints

Usually, we use the following steps to resolve the issue that mirrored database are disconnected. For more details, you can review this similar blog.
    1. Resume mirror by running the following on the principal.

ALTER DATABASE dbName SET PARTNER RESUME

    2. Restart the endpoints on both servers.

ALTER ENDPOINT endpointName state = STOPPED
ALTER ENDPOINT endpointName state = STARTED

    Thanks,
    Lydia Zhang
