Read only permissions to SSAS

Hi All ,

I am new to this area ,i have a request to provide read-only permissions to SSAS service for users X Y and Z how do i do that, i know we can add the users to administrators role by Right clicking the server props and security ..any light please ..

You need to create a Role in the SSAS database with the specific permissions needed and then add users to that role. A role can be created in the SSAS project in BIDS or added to an SSAS database in SSMS. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189696(v=sql.105).aspx
