We have the capability to auto-suggest items the customer may be interested in based on what they have typed so far. We call this the Suggestions API. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/searchservice/suggestions for more details.
In addition, we are currently working on an auto-complete API that is meant to provide type-ahead options based on the content of your index. We expect to release this capability in the next few months.
