Integration Runtime Environment - Compatibility on Linux/Unix Environment

    Question

  • Hi,

I have requirement to copy the data from Oracle Instance(Hosted on HP-UX - On Premises) into Azure Blob Storage in CSV/JSON format.

I understand to establish the communication between the on premises and Azure, we need to install Integration Runtime Environment (IR) on the machine from where we need to source the data. But the IR is compatible on Windows OS Only.

Is that we can install IR on Windows Machine within the same network where the Oracle Instance(hosted on HP UX) is running, ensure that Windows Machine is communicating with Oracle Instance(Hosted on HP-UX). Is this the approach we need to follow. Please suggest.

  • Hi Thilak, that is exactly correct - you need to run the self-hosted Integration Runtime on a Windows machine that has network connectivity to the Oracle instance.
