the xaml and cs page are working and the apps too are running but its not showing the designer along with the xaml page.

  • What OS version are you using? You should probably move to VS 2012 RTM instead of RC.

  • I am having the same problem in VS 2012 in Win8 RTM for Windows Store app.

    Steps of reproduction:

    • Launch VS Ultimate 2012.
    • File > New > Project > C# or Visual Basic > Windows Store > Blank App (XAML)
    • Open MainPage.xaml or App.xaml
    • Click Design mode. And you will see this error
    • Right click MainPage.xaml or App.xaml
    • Click Blend. And you will find the same error in Expression Blend.

Please tell me if you have found any solution yet?

  • There is another thread tracking the same issue:

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/toolsforwinapps/thread/b6a66a5a-e3b4-4f1a-848e-c1a6b7668b31

Let us use that one to resolve this issue. Please note that VS 2012 RC is no longer supported (since that was mentioned at the top of the thread).

    Thanks,
