COM Exception was caught [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle] RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

i am in a very serious problem.I am using ADODB provider for oracle in my windows application.I have correctly provided all credentials for the database but whenever i am calling Open() method of the connection i am getting this exception:

COM Exception was caught [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle].

Interesting matter is that in another project(running in the same machine) having same source code, same database, same schema everything same that project is running well.

But why not in my recent project ? I have completely lost my confidence .Please anyone can help me ?

  • I searched for that message and found nothing. Is that the exact error message?

Also, could you post your code?

  • Hi Boot,

Have you checked the settings(Build Platform target:X86 or X64) for your two same projects.

    Have a nice day.
