Access WCF OData service (hosted in IIS) from the same server causes authorization failure RRS feed

I have a WCF OData services that's hosted by IIS. The client for this service is hosted on the same server. When the client attempts to connect to the service via a host header (http://myservice.org.com/myservice.sv), the request returns authorization fails. When the client attempts to connect to the service not using a host header (http://server:port/myservice.svc), the request succeeds. When access the service via a host header from my dev machine, it succeeds.

After finding the solution, it seems like you would just know why, but...

    Disable the loopback check:

You receive error 401.1 when you browse a Web site that uses Integrated Authentication and is hosted on IIS 5.1 or a later version
