Hi. I've read several posts on this and have tried several of the answers to no avail. I'm trying to publish my website with a single dll instead of the many it currently creates when I publish. Any thoughts?

Delete all the dlls and then begin fresh as In Visual Studio 2005, click build publish website and just give the path and check the box allow this precompiled site to be updatable. And now you will have only one dll in the bin other then the dll of external libraries etc say for Ajax stuff. You will still have the pages as .aspx.

Mr Vivek  Explained this problem as in other thread

you can use Web Application Project(WAP) option to compile your project into a single DLL: http://webproject.scottgu.com/ In case you do not want to switch to WAP and want to use your default web site project model, you can use aspnet_merge.exe tool to merge all your dlls into a single DLL: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/aa479044.aspx Also, note that once you use the Publish option to publish your website via FTP (or XCopy), no .cs file is published, they are all compiled into assemblies.

    Hope this helps,
