Provisioning failed. Unknown network allocation error.. NetworkingInternalOperationError RRS feed

  • Question

  • Tried to start my development VM this morning... and got this error:

Provisioning failed. Unknown network allocation error.. NetworkingInternalOperationError

I've tried a redeploy, but honestly I don't know what else to do.  I found this post https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/63f0c318-f76c-4532-9f00-fa373cab07b6/unknown-network-allocation-error-when-deploying-vm?forum=WAVirtualMachinesVirtualNetwork

But I don't have support, so am I just screwed?  Create a new VM with the disk?

  • Does you VM have a public IP associated with it? Is it set to Dynamic or Static?

Could you try adding a secondary NIC to the VM? You can do this by going to the VM and selecting the networking tab and then Add Network Interface option at the top of the page
