Converting a text file to PDF. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some reports written in the old Foxbase days, running on VFP9. These generate a report as a text file which then it opens in notepad. The reports are using the foxfont font.

    I need to be able convert these into PDF. The user needs to make changes to the text document before conversion to PDF so It has to be a conversion of text to PDF - not a direct pdf generation which I already do.

    Before I look into tools to convert text to PDF - can anyone here recommend a way to do this?

    thanks!

  • If nothing else, you can pop the text into a memo field that you display in a report and create a PDF with FoxyPreviewer.

  • You can use FoxyPreviewer to print into PDF.

    You can open the text in VFP and let the user edit it before sending it to PDF

  • Benny;

    Reading the manual does help. So is reading the question :-)

    I needed converting a text file into pdf - AFAIK Foxy has no text to pdf feature. But Tamar's idea solve this for me.

    Thank you both.
