Embed an App for Excel on my website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have developed and published an charting app for Excel 2013 and I want to add a demo with demo data on my website. But when I try do that, it says, I do not have access to directory. This app lives in Windows Azure. What can I do to have the demo running. I probably need to have a secure URL to add on the website embed. How do I do that? Can this be done on any other website or should it be a SharePoint website?

    Thanks

  • Hi Mzamose,

if you would like to create a website template with apps in azure, i suppose it should be also ok.

Sharepoint is only one way to achive it, because sharepoint may become the platform for your libraries and items.

Because your requirement is not using sharepoint, perhaps at azure forum have more people that experienced with : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/azure/en-US/home?category=windowsazureplatform%2Cazuremarketplace%2Cwindowsazureplatformctp

  • Paul, Thanks for you response. I currently do not have a SharePoint site, even though my MSDN subscription has it. I just wanted to know if I can do it with a website template I am currently running to showcase my apps functionality. Can I do it with Non-SharePoint sites or Will it only work with SharePoint?
