Windows 7 app devlopment on windows 8 RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    I have windows 8 and visual studio 2012 installed on my machine. I need to devlop windows 7 app or windows phone application on that machine .

    anyone known link or step for same ?

  • Apps you develop using VS 2012 on Windows 8 should work fine on Windows 7, with the obvious exception of Windows Store apps, which are only supported on Windows 8.

    As far as Windows Phone apps are concerned, you will need to install the Windows Phone 8 SDK, which is supported ONLY on 64 bit Windows 8.

    If you have further questions pertaining to Visual Studio, I suggest you ask in a Visual Studio forum, like this one:

    As pvdg42 said, the apps we develop via Visual Studio 2012 on Windows 8 can work fine on Windows 7 except Windows Store apps.

    We can create different projects include VB,C#,VC++ and so on.
