Convert TEXT to TIME RRS feed

  • Question

  • I set the TIMESTART field to display as "Short Time" in Access Web App but when connected to desktop I get xx:xx:xx.xxx format and can't modify it. Any suggestions?

"6:00 PM" in Access Web looks like "18:00:00.000" in Access desktop.

    Thanks

  • Hi John. What is the data type of the field in the table? Is it DateTime or Short Text? Just curious...

  • Okay, thanks. In Access desktop, where did you want it to display as Short Time, in the table or a form/report? If form/report, have you tried setting the Format property to Short Time? Just a thought...

  • In Access Web App it displays properly.

In Desktop it displays as TEXT but when trying to format in a Form/Report it seems to be a number.

and when I open the desktop table in design view it shows as TEXT.

  • Hi John. How did you get the table from AWA to the desktop? Did you link to the Azure table or did you import it?

  • Linked via ODBC to SQL Azure tables

  • I could but why would I do that when I need a Date/Time field? It defeats the whole purpose.
