Not Opening Respective Record RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just wrote a novel in here and my browser goofed. Heres the question...

I have a text box in a subform:bound to PO Number. It has an OnDblClick event to open the respective record in a form:Purchase Order Details. When double clicked it opens a "NEW PO" prompt instead.

Purchase Order ID is the primary key to the PO Number.

Does anyone have any clue as to why the code is the same but results in something different?

    A million thanks,

    Very Respecfuly,

  • Hi,

In cases like this, I tend to assign the value to a variable so I can examine its content when what I expected did not happen.

    Just my 2 cents...

  • My apologies... the macro code above is identical to old code to another db's form with a similar function. Check all properties and they all match... checked for VBA, NONE... the only difference is the call argument

  • I was thinking the where condition format is...   ="[container in destination form/report]=" & [field clicked in form 1]
