MQSC Adapter RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Are there any limitations on the use of MQSC Adapter?

In my senario I want to use the MQSC Adapter from Biztalk to communicate with an MQ Queue on a remote server in another organisation through the firewalls. Is the MQSC Adapter going to be able to to this or would using the MQ Series Adapter to talk to aa MQ Server (on Windows) in my domain be a better solution to allow Biztalk to communicate with the remote instance?

  • Yes, the MQSC adapter should be able to do what you are asking. I have setup the adapter to do something like this before. I would not think of using the MQSC adapter as interchangeable with the MQSeries adapter.

This chart gives you a breakdown of the different MQSC modes and features: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa772116(v=BTS.10).aspx. There are some limitations mentioned on this page.

    Thanks,
