How remove/replace Windows Mobile 6 hourglass? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I'd like to know if there is any possibility to remove that hourglass which turns round when an application is loaded in Windows Mobile 6. It is too big, it's unconvenient for my originating application (I launch an application from another). The best would be that I can remove it programmatically (C++ unmanaged).
    Thanks!

  • Check out the LoadAnimatedCursor function.

If you find that your application is taking a long time to load you may be able to avoid the cursor by making changes to your application to improve the load time.  Lazy loading of resources may help.  You can also place ancillary functionality in other DLLs and only load them when you need them to help reduce the initial load time.
