Copying an entire Solution in Visual Studio 2008 RRS feed

Answers

  • Hi,

There are two ways to do it:

    1. Copy the solution and all related folders and files in a separate folder. Open it under Visual Studio and change the name of the projects, assemblies, and so on...

    2. Copy the solution and all related folders and files in a separate folder. Open the *.sln *.csproj ... under a text editor (Notepad++) and rename the projects, assemblies, and so on ... If you have a lot of projects, you can gain time by making a script that do all the stuff, but you'll need to know the structure of *.sln *.csproj ...  files (you can refer to msdn documentation)

    Kind regards,
