Publish changes in one team project RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to the following scenario:

We have 4-5 team projects. One of them is like "master" team project. We would like

to make changes in the work items schema in this team project, and to be able to

publish these changes to the rest of the team projects.

  • There is currently not a way to 'inherit' Work Item Schema's.  So, you will need to export the WI schema from the master project, and then import it into the other projects.

You can use the tool(s) witexport.exe and witimport.exe.  They can be found on a machine with VS and TFC installed, here:

    "%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\"

Using a command line, you can see their usage (witexport /?)
