hi, i am new ssas, i am building a cube, the fact table i am using has around 90m rows, so i dnt want whole data,i just need to bring data into cube based on some bussiness rules, so how can i filter fct table data so that cube just contains require data...using build cube wizard i can just specify tables not any condiion or sql........can u guys help me with thatthanks in advance..

In the DSV you can create a Named Query and use that as the source of your measure group. Or you could create a view in your relational database and use that.

1. Open the Cube solution.
2. and open the datasource view .
3. right click in the canvas of datasourceview.and NEW NAMED QUERY

i am using ssas 2008, i dont see any named query option there.........
