I have a list I want to sort by time RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a list of daily actitivities that I want to sort by time.

The only way I seem to be able to do this is by using military time and I don't want to do that.

I've tried usaing AM and PM, I've tried putting a 0 in front of single numbers so they all have 4 digits.

1:00 always comes up at the top of the list.

I need 9:00 AM to be at the top of the list.

    Help, please.

  • Hi esilverb1,

What is the type of your SharePoint time column ?

You can create a Date and Time column (like the Start Date in images) and sort this column in ascending order from "Modify this view" .

    Thanks

  • Firstly go to your Regional settings and set the time to be in the 12hr format.

Then see that your list has a column with type Date Time, and sort using this in the view
