Task Form customization issue RRS feed

  • Hello, 

    I been sifting throught the threads and can't find a clear answer. I have an approval workflow that I need to change to gather additional inputs and write those inputs to a document library. I created and added three columns to the same document library that currently houses the documents that the workflows statuses. I used SPD to edit the approval task section of the workflow and added the three column in the Task Form Fields section. Saved and published the update workflow and when I test it out I am able to input the data in the three new fields but it doesnt write it to the columns. 

    My questions:

    Where is the data that I type in the new fields housed within SP? 

    Is there a different way to update the Task Form?

    Is it possible to update the workflow to achieve my goal?
