    Other Details on InfopathForm

    - Its a brower compatible form.

    - Dataconnections are there.

    Issue

    - I try to update 120 items in a sharepoint list through object model from Infopath form and gets the error 'An error occurred submitting this form to the Web server.'

On Server, below settings are configured.

  • Hi shameej:

The error can have several causes. It is best to check the last SharePoint error log as soon as the error has taken place. The logs are located at: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\LOGS

If you are using a browser form, you have to check errors on the SharePoint server, not your local PC (unless your local PC is the server). If you cannot get to the server, you have to contact your system administrator or someone who can check the logs for you.

    There is a similar issue

  • If you check the SharePoint ULS logs for the time you get the error they should have some more specific details. If that doesn't help then then try putting some code to log what's happening in your object model updates.

  • The issue is solved now. The issue was with the number of times the form is submitted to the server.

Each time the user submits the record to the server, 100 or more times the form is getting saved to the server and hence this throws the error. However I modified the code to limit the number of times the form is getting saved to the server and issue is solved now.

    Thanks everyone for your help.
