Directshow Source Filter development RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a Directshow Source Filter using Visual Studio 2008.  The filter works correctly, and delivers content as required.  However, when I debug my filter using this site -> http://www.testmycam.com accessed via IE, a DbgAssert fails when I close IE.  Now I am wondering if there is a bug in my filter that is causing this behaviour, or is this a problem with the Flash Player add-on.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

  • Thats because the filter was not closed properly by the flash application. I experienced the same in debug version of filters. In release version, this will not happen.

To make sure your filter is working fine i recommend you to use graph edit and test your filter in debug mode. On stopping the running graph must not give the same message or even after you have closed the graph edit application. well if no assertion messages pop up then your filter is clean.
