Manage Synchronization failing with an ODBC error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was able to configure and publish ok. Now on Sync I am getting the following errors.

'2' 'Customer' record(s) inserted in staging

    ODBC operation failed.
Unable to log on to the database.

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Object 'OdbcConnection' could not be created

AX 2012 R3, Sql Server 14. All running on one machine under a VM. It is on my local. Server is Windows Server 2012.

    Thoughts?

  • Thanks for the reply but that doesn't solve the problem. It still persists.

  • Are you using a system dsn?

It should be a system dsn.

  • It shouldn't need a system DSN. Everything else going to and from the database works.

  • Here is an update. When I change the sync from push/pull to pull only, it works. When I change it back it doesn't.

  • The failure is happening on the push to MDS. It pulls ok without an ODBC error. Everything else works, publishing entities, connecting to the web service. Pulling data from MDS
