No flash on the full screen IE 10 , not the desktop view RRS feed

  • It says that need adobe flash player when I stream youtube. Is it necessary to install adobe flash player ? I thought IE 10 don't need it ?

  • No, you do not need to install Adobe Flash Player. Go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 to enable the HTML5 preview, and you can at least browse YouTube effectively. Not all videos work, but most do, I think.

    Adobe Flash is not available for the Metro browser in Windows 8, but it is available in the Desktop version of IE10.

    Basically: You can browse YouTube in IE10 Metro if you enable HTML5 video at http://www.youtube.com/html5, but for other Flash sites, you will need to go to the Desktop version of IE10.
