How to catch Pointer Move event on ListView?

    Question

  • Hi,

I know ListView doesn't support drag&drop directly, so I want to implement it by my self. My idea is to monitor PointerMove on window, then do the drag&drop logic by my self. However, I find that when the pointer is moving on ListView, I'll not be able to receive PointerMove event.

Any suggestion about cacthing  PointerMove event on a ListView?

    Thank you very much.

    cheers

    Alex

  • Hi,

Yes, ListView doesn't has PointerMove event. You could try the event of the div.

For example, ondrag, ondragend and so on. Details, please refer to: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_eventattributes.asp

  • Hi,

I need to support touch to drag. I tested the example on MSDN (http://samples.msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/samples/author/dhtml/refs/DragDropEventsEX.htm), It seems the drag events doesn't work with touch.

It seems there were some other guys had got the similar problem as mine: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winappswithhtml5/thread/07b11063-0e9a-402c-82e7-e0bed787017b

Really hope Microsoft can carry out a solution for this problem.

    Thank you very much.

    cheers
