Mirroring - High Performance RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have set up mirroring with out a witness.  I set the database up to be High Performance (asynchronous) and in the SSMS it shows as being principle, syncronized but with the SSMS mirroring tab it show High Performance.  In the mirroring database it is showing mirroring_state as synchronized and mirroring_safety_level_desc as OFF.

I am running SQL SERver Enteprise Edition 64-bit build 3790Tongue Tiedp2....Suggestions on how to get mirroring in High Performance mode?

  • This sounds like it's working perfectly in High Performance mode.  The mirroring session reports the databases as synchronised even in a high-performance mode if they are reasonably in synch - the amount of unsent/unrestored log transactions is small.  I don't know what the exact threshold is, but if there was a large gap, you would see "Principal, Synchronizing" or "Principal, Disconnected" instead.
