Feature Request: Web Deployment Project documentation xml RRS feed

I would like to be able to generate documentaion xml from our web projects, and are stumped by the difficulty of doing this in VS 2005.  The Web Deployment Project seems like an ideal place for this, since it can generate a single output assembly.  Here is a thread about some work-arounds, but so far there are none that work well.

Any chance the development team for Web Deployment Projects is reading and could sneak this in (or provide a workable alternative?)

Thanks for the suggestion. I cannot promise if we will support this or not, but I have entered a Design Change Request (DCR 590600) to modify WDP for this in the future.

    + 50 for this.

Any updates on how to do this now, 4 years later?

Ditto.  The web deployment projet is a god send for getting user controls into a single library without much hassle.  The biggest thing it's missing that would make my life a lot easier would be the XML documentation like is compiled with traditional assemblies.
