Visual Studio Shell localization tool? RRS feed

Answers

  • Hi Bogdan,

In fact, all the current languages  supported by the shell language pack have been listed by that box. So I can only suggest you post a suggestion or an idea in connect.

And the product team there will help deal with this issue.

    Best regards,

    Sunny

  • Hi Bogdan,

According to your description, you want to download Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Shell (Isolated) Language Pack but your language pack is not avaliable.

    >>Can we create our own Visual Studio 2013 Shell (Isolated) Language Pack?

If you want to do it, I think you need:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/zh-cn/library/bb166570(v=vs.90).aspx

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb685691.aspx

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee390883.aspx

    >> Is it possible to get access to tools you at Microsoft use for localization internally?

Do you mean the tools that we use to develop visual studio extension? If yes, we have no localization internally tools except for visual studio. You can download it from this page.

  • Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately it was not very helpful. We need a language pack for localization of the Visual Studio Shell UI to our native language (Slovenian). You suggested creating a language services package that is used for generating a custom programming language support, which is something we don't need right now.

    Bogdan

  • Hi Bogdan,

Thank you for your feedback. Meanwhile I apologize for my misunderstanding.

I have no Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Shell (Isolated) Language Pack for Slovenian language. And the shell language pack supports for the current languages listed by that box. So I suggest you submit an idea in the link:

    Best regards,

    Sunny
