Disaster Recovery Plan RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Hello,

I am trying to come up with backup plane for a disaster recovery, such as in case a server dies and I have to rebuild a SharePoint farm on new servers.
We have a middle size SharePoint farm.  We have a mixed environment of SharePoint 2003 and Moss 2007.
We have 1 MOSS 2007 server, 1 SQL2005 DB server, 1 web front-end, and another web front-end with SharePoint 2003 installed in the same box.
I have been trying to find what to backup from internet, but I could not find any site that explains clearly.
Here is what I found.  From my research, I need to have..
    1. SQL backup
    2. Hive12
    3. C:\inetPub
    4. Global Assembly cache (C:\windows\assembly\GAC)
    5. System State.

Pleae verify me if I gathered all the information I need.
Also if you know any website that explains step by step procedures of disaster recovery, Please let me know.

    Thanks in Advance.
