  • Could anyone let me know how can I changing user exchange mailbox database using c#, powershell?

Here is what happen, an existing user relocate from location A to location B, I need to do 2 tasks

    1) In Active Directory, move user from Org Unit A and Org Unit B

    2) Changing user exchange mailbox database

For 1) I can use .moveTo() to handle it, but I have no clue how to do the second part, any suggestion is very appreaciated.

Answers

  • Step 1: Use ADUC, right click on the user account and click move or drag the object to the correct OU.

Step 2: In EMC: navigate to recipient Config and mailbox, right click on the user and select New Move Request and select the database that you want to move it to.

    In EMS:

    New-MoveRequest -Identity "UserName" -TargetDatabase "DatabaseName"

  • Sorry that I forget to mention I have to program in C#, but I think I can use your powershell command in my application.

    thanks
