  • Question

  • hello,

    i have heard that EF supports failover of databases;

    1. does anyone know if EF also supports the failover of MIRRORED databases?

    2. how are your experiences with die failover-features of EF?

    3. are there stumbling block/obstacles which have to be considered when using mirrored databases?

    thanks

  • Hello,

    I've not heard of failover feature in EF and found no such things in EF roadmap on CodePlex. You could see more details in the following link. https://entityframework.codeplex.com/documentation Can you tell me where did you get the message?

    New features are developed here. https://github.com/aspnet/EntityFramework/wiki/Roadmap

    I hope it helps.

    Regards,

    I think what you are talking about has more to do with the ADO.NET connectionstring more than it does with an ORM like EF or even nHibernate.
