Windows 8, VS2012 Ultimate, Javascript Templates appear to be missing, RRS feed

  • Question

  • I pulled a VMware Windows 8-IE10 environment from the Microsoft site for Virtualization:

    I used my MSDN Subscription to download and install VS2012 Ultimate.

    I am running this development environment in VMware 9.0 and am able to run sample JavaScript Projects and the CodeShow solution that is referenced in the

    Developing in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Jump Start (20480A).

    Here is my question:

    I am going through the Programming Windows 8 Apps book (Kraig Brockschmidt) and don't see the Templates for the Javascript under New Project. (See page 42 of his book).

    What download am I missing?  Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

    About your description,I think you need to follow this step:

    click New project==>Click Installed==>Click Other Languages==>select JaveScript==>Select WindowStore.

    If you didn't find the Javacript Language or WindowStore,I think you need check your vs whether contained the javascript language.

    Hope this helps!
