Multiple Layers (EntityCollections) with Events still not working? RRS feed

  • Question

  • From Ricky's Bing Map Blog:

"This issue is that when you have EntityCollections overlapping each other the top EntityCollection blocks mouse events from making it through to shapes below the collection. "

I ran in to this problem myself the last couple of days.  Is it still in the same state?  Has it been fixed?  Update?

  • I was not able to get multiple entity collections to work.  I have implemented a work around that adds polygons to the map.entities collection and to one additional entity collection.  It is a poor substitute at best.

So the answer to the above question is that it stil does not work.

  • Try loading in the AdvanceShapes module. There is an updated version of the EntityCollection in there. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh921952.aspx

  • Ok, I tried it.  It doesn't appear to work.  Are you saying it does work?  Do you have a definitive answer?  It seems like it still has the same issue you(?) blogged about.
