TechNet Article Feedback: "Configure Exchange 2010 for Split Permissions" RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • There are several code examples on the Configure Exchange 2010 for Split Permissions TechNet article that are incorrect, here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638155.aspx.  The errors in these commands either causes an error, or worse, does something different that what is described in the article.

    1. Step #1, the command [New-RoleGroup "Active Directory Administrators" -Roles "Mail Recipient Creation", "Security Group Creation and Management"] should read [New-RoleGroup "Active Directory Administrators" -Roles "Mail Recipient Creation", "Security Group Creation and Membership"].  The role, "Security Group Creation and Management" does not exist.
    2. Step #3 effectively does the same thing as step #2.  I believe the Role is incorrect.  Is should not read "Mail Recipient Creation" but rather "Security Group Creation and Management".
    3. Step #8, there is reference to the "Security Group Creation and Management" again.  This should read "Security Group Creation and Membership".  The role, "Security Group Creation and Management" does not exist.
It would probably a good idea to test the PowerShell commands you provide in these articles.
