ADF v2 updates: Causing ERRORS RRS feed

  • Hello team,

    In the current week, we have observed that many ADF v2 pipelines that were running successfully daily were suddenly failing due to some reasons (which we assume is some upgrade in ADFV 2 side). Some of the errors include:

    1) Pipeline parameters

    Earlier we were able to pass pipeline parameters directly to datasets and linked services but now we have to define dataset and linked service parameters and assign their value at pipeline level.

    So there was a change that needed to be done but any reason why the change occurred without any update?

    2) Web activity issue

    Earlier we were able to process the Azure analysis service via web activity in ADF v2 as seen below:

    But since yesterday the pipeline is failing with the below error:

    Any reason what is the error and what is the solution for the same?

    As it looks like we need to internally work on the release management process  . 

    On the other issue , since the web activity was working before and is not working now , it looks to be something specific to the subscription . We tried tio repro the issue with no luck . 

    Can you please send an email to  with the following details ?

    1. Your subscription id
    2. Link to this thread .
    3. Error details 

    Once we have the details we will be give you one time support ticket and someone from ourside can work with you to resolution .

    Thank you for the response.

    This behavior has been observed multiple times in the past 2 months wherein some of the original features of ADF v2 are no longer present now.

    So even after GA status wanted to know why are such issues occurring?

    And also w.r.t the 2nd point of web activity issue which was failing for 2 days, that pipeline is working now properly without having to do any change in our end.

    So not exactly sure of the cause from ADF side.

    But if such issue still persists, we might be forced to stop using ADF v2 and might need to resort to some other tool.
