Automate the Outlook 2013/2016 setup wizard for first time users RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am building some systems for users and have found that when the user first logs into the system, their Outlook 2013/2016 application isn't automatically setup for them by default.  They have to open Outlook, and then they are presented with a wizard to set up their Outlook settings (it's a one-time setup that disappears after they've done this).  I usually just have them stick to the wizard's "Recommended Settings".

I'd like to be able to automate this process for them using any programming means available along with admin privileges, so that they do not have to do this when they first log into the system.  Is there a way to do this for Outlook?

    Thanks,

    Tam Bui

  • Hi Tam,

As far as I know, it could not achieved by Outlook object model. It is user’s behavior.

As a researching, the link below might be useful to you.

    # Deploy Outlook mail profile settings via GPO or script
