  • Sometimes when duplicating an object I will also use the shift key to move the duplicate so I can constrain its movement. This works fine.

Today I had snap to grid switched on during the move and so included the S key in the combo to ignore the snap to grid. I was a bit surprised when the Select  menu was highlighted.

Alt followed by the menu option first letter brings up that menu but I had the combination of Alt + Shift + S during an object move.

  • had you had ALt+Shift+S, that would be different.
because wether or not your holding any other button before it, pressing alt followed by S opens the select menu. catch my drift?

  • This must be a bug, Steve. If you press the keys differently, such as holding the S key and then Shift+Alt, the menu doesn't appear but the movement of the object isn't constrained, it just jumps around. Can you file a bug on this?
