Adding .NET 3.5 SP1 as a prerequisite in VS2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had this problem a while back and managed to fix it. I have since got a new pc, and I'm trying to apply the same fix, but I think I may be missing a step somewhere.
Section 2.3.1.1 in the following document:
    http://download.microsoft.com/download/A/2/8/A2807F78-C861-4B66-9B31-9205C3F22252/VS2008SP1Readme.htm#General%20Issues
says to edit the Product.xml file in the following folder:
    [Program Files]\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper \Packages\DotNetFx35SP1
However I do not have a Product.xml file in this folder.
There is one in the DotNetFx35 folder. Should I edit that one?
    TIA
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

    This is the right direction.

If you are still having problems after installing SP1, please let me know.

    Thanks!
