FlipView paging

    Question

  • I created a FlipView that has a couple of pages added to it dynamically by calling WinJS.UI.Fragments.cloneTo().

It works just fine except for a fact that you must start dragging somewhere where there is visible textual content. Otherwise page will not flip. Pages (.flipPage) are sized 100% by 100% (confirmed via DOM explorer).

Settings background on .flipPage to rgba(0,0,0,0) causes the app to start functioning as it should - dragging any part of the page causes a page flip.

Is this expected? Is there a better way than setting background to rgba(0,0,0,0) to fix this (setting it to 'transparent' has no effect BTW)

This is behaving as expected for the Hit Testing.  There needs to be something to grab hold of and if this is set to transparent, then we cannot detect the grab.
