How to remove fonts from image (i.e. through .reg, or .dat or .bib file manipulation)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I wanted to remove some fonts that were included in the build through the STANDARD_SHELL sysgen component because our legacy application is affected by the presence of this fonts. However, we wanted to keep the explorer shell.

Can some help identify which part of the CE build or image I need to modify so that these specific fonts will be ignored by the OS even if it exist in the image?

  • Maybe not, didn't try, but you can of course create a custom "pre-makeimg" build action by pressing ALT-F7 when you have your OS Design open in VS, then go to "Configuration Properties"->"Custom Build Actions", and call your batch file from there.

    Good luck,
