What is the Source and Significance of This Push Notification Error RRS feed

    See here for some detailed info on the different delivery statuses Windows Notification Services can return:

    The dropped status means that there was an error or the client rejected the notification. This might happen because the client was offline but there can be other causes too. 

    In time we hope to publish more tutorial content that will walk users through some common techniques for handling the various different responses that can come from WNS.

  • Hi Roger,

    Paul's right, dropped can be returned for a variety of reasons. A common one (in case others look at this thread) is that the project has not been set to Toast Enabled: yes in the .appxmanifest's UI tab.
